The SICK UC12-1223E ultrasonic proximity sensor delivers reliable short-range distance measurement for machine builders and OEMs who need compact sensing with consistent results. With a rugged zinc die-cast housing in a slim block form and a straight sound emission, it integrates cleanly in space-constrained setups across conveying, packaging and intralogistics applications, while the M12 connector speeds installation and changeover.

Equipped with IO-Link V1.1 for parameterization, diagnostics and rapid device replacement, the sensor provides two configurable push-pull digital outputs that support PNP and NPN logic, including antivalent switching. Temperature compensation, a typical ultrasonic frequency of 500 kHz, a fast 30 ms response and a 25 Hz switching frequency underpin stable detection on natural objects, while a resolution of ≥ 0.1 mm, repeatability of ±0.15% and accuracy of ±1% help ensure precise switching windows. Dual IP65/IP67 protection and an operating temperature range of -25 to +70 °C enable dependable operation in demanding industrial environments.
