The SICK S30A-4011BA safety laser scanner from the S3000 Standard series delivers dependable area protection for industrial automation. With a 4 m protective field and a wide 190° scan angle, it safeguards access to robot cells, AGVs and machine perimeters while maintaining high availability. The rugged die-cast aluminum housing with IP65 protection and a scratch-resistant polycarbonate front lens is built for demanding indoor environments.

Engineered to meet modern functional safety requirements, the S30A-4011BA achieves Type 3 (IEC 61496), SIL 2 (IEC 61508) and PL d, Category 3 (EN ISO 13849). It offers configurable resolution from 30 to 150 mm, a fast 60 ms response, dual or triple field sets and simultaneous monitoring. Two OSSD safety outputs support straightforward integration, while RS-422 measurement data output and EFI enable diagnostics and safe device communication. Integrated configuration memory, EDM and restart interlock streamline commissioning and compliance.
