The Omron NJ501-1500 Sysmac NJ5 CPU is a high-performance machine automation controller designed for fast, synchronized motion and connected control. Combining deterministic EtherCAT motion with open OPC-UA communications and EtherNet/IP networking, it provides a unified platform for packaging, assembly, and high-speed material handling lines.

With a 0.5 ms primary task cycle and control of up to 64 synchronous axes, the NJ501-1500 delivers precise multi-axis servo coordination. 20 MB program memory and 6 MB variable memory support large applications, while the built-in EtherCAT Master scales to extensive I/O architectures and servo networks. Native EtherNet/IP and USB streamline engineering and diagnostics, and optional fieldbus interfaces—PROFINET, PROFIBUS DP, DeviceNet, CAN, Modbus, EtherCAT Slave, and serial RS-232/422/485—simplify integration with legacy and third-party equipment. Support for up to 192 remote I/O nodes via the CJ I/O Bus and up to 40 expansion units makes the controller fit for complex machines.
