The Beckhoff EP1908-0002 is an EtherCAT Box for decentralized automation: an 8-channel 24 V DC digital input module with M12 field connectivity and TwinSAFE capability. Engineered for machine builders and system integrators, it brings reliable signal acquisition directly to the field with IP67-class ruggedness and seamless EtherCAT performance.

Supporting Safety over EtherCAT via TwinSAFE, the EP1908-0002 meets EN ISO 13849-1 Category 4, PL e and EN 61508 SIL 3. The module offers eight 24 V DC digital inputs with a typical read-to-bus latency of 5.5 ms and a parameterizable watchdog for defined fault response. Two A-coded, shielded M8 4-pin bus ports enable daisy-chaining, while A-coded 5-pin M12 sockets provide robust field connections. A compact PA6 housing and flexible mounting allow cabinet-free installation in harsh industrial environments rated IP65/66/67.
