BECKHOFF EL9576 ETHERCAT TERMINAL Used
Need something we currently don't have available? Our sourcing team can help you find what you need
The Beckhoff EL9576 EtherCAT Terminal brake chopper stabilizes DC links in distributed automation and drive systems by safely dissipating regenerative energy. Designed for compact control cabinets, it prevents DC-bus overvoltage trips and supports reliable machine uptime in servo, robotics and motion applications.
With a nominal voltage up to 72 V and a 155 µF energy buffer, the EL9576 handles up to 10 A ripple current with an internal resistance of < 5 mΩ for low losses. The chopper voltage is adjustable, and the overvoltage control is parameterizable via CoE, enabling precise setpoints. A fast two-point control drives the external braking resistor with a load-dependent clock rate up to 100 µs. Electrical isolation of 1500 V between E-bus and field potential, compact 12 x 100 x 68 mm housing with signal LEDs, spring-cage wiring, and IP20 design make integration straightforward on a 35 mm DIN rail (EN 60715). Recommended braking resistor: 10 Ω, typically 100 W, depending on the application.
Engineered to meet EN 61000-6-2/-6-4 EMC and EN 60068 vibration requirements, this brake chopper is a robust choice for machine builders who need deterministic EtherCAT I/O and dependable DC-bus protection; to further support long-term operation and reduce downtime risk, it comes with a 1-year warranty.
