The Beckhoff EL3142 EtherCAT Terminal is a 2-channel analog input module for precise current measurement from 0–20 mA with 16-bit resolution, engineered for fast, deterministic data acquisition in distributed I/O systems across machine building, factory automation, and process control. Its 12 mm compact housing and seamless EtherCAT integration help increase analog signal density while keeping cabinet footprints small.

Each single-ended channel delivers accurate conversion with <±0.3% full-scale uncertainty and a typical conversion time of ~60 μs (fast mode ~40 μs). Integrated input filtering up to 5 kHz, switchable FIR/IIR filters, and limit value monitoring provide robust signal conditioning, while distributed clocks with sub-microsecond precision support tightly synchronized measurements. Powered via the E-bus and offering 500 V isolation between E-bus and signal, the EL3142 is suitable for IP20 cabinet installations and mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail for straightforward deployment.

Designed for quick commissioning with TwinCAT and other EtherCAT masters, the EL3142 accelerates analog I/O integration and reduces panel complexity without compromising reliability, and it is backed by a 1-year warranty to support maintenance and lifecycle planning.
